What is Teeth Grinding?

A night guard is a comforting teeth grinding solution which places a cushioning barrier between your teeth. This alleviates the symptoms of bruxism and provides treatment for clenching your jaw to stop pain and improve sleep.

Your dental impressions will be taken and sent to a dental lab where they’ll create your mouth guard. When it’s ready, you will have it fitted at the practice. You’ll also receive instructions on how to use it and you can try it on.

Depending on the amount of stress it’s put under, it should last up to at least a couple of years of constant use. If you bring your night guard with you to your regular dental check-ups, your dentist can look at its condition. They can then recommend if you need a new one.

As well as teeth, grinding can also hurt your gums. If left untreated, it can cause gum recession which can lead to tooth loss in serious cases.

My routine appointment was quick and smooth. Sandeep is great! Straight after I had my hygienist appointment with Pam! She's very good and talks you through what's happening and is thorough. My negative feedback is for the receptionist. I called a minute after my appointment time to let them know I'm a FEW minutes late due to traffic. She said, I'll check and call you back. I asked her not to bother because I've got 2 appointments away and am on route. Generally, I'm never late, on this occasion I was 5 minutes late. I didn't like this and dismissed it BUT customer service is important as receptionists are the first point of call. Overall, don't expect the receptionists to smile. Everyone else is wonderful and for this reason I would recommend going.
